KEALAKEKUA, HAWAII - Years ago I went hiking down to the Captain Cook monument with friends after planning to do it for a few weeks, after I had heard it was kind of challenging. I wanted to gear up and be prepared for a fun adventure. Compass and camera in hand, we set out on a new adventure.
The hike down the un-maintained trail to monument took about about 1.5 hours and is considered a moderately difficult hike, with lots of large ankle-twisting rocks on the trail, elevation changes and lack of nearby shade & resources. Imagine living out here in the ancient days and relying on underground water aquifers, having to catch your own food, and surviving against not only the elements but also invading bands of warriors. Pretty awesome stuff!
After enjoying the fruits of a few wild fruit trees, we arrived at our destination. I could easily understand why this area was at one time heavily inhabited and there existed a village nearby. We saw a school of Yellow Tang swimming around Cook's death marker, which was under about two inches of water at the time. In case you didn't realize, Captain James Cook was killed on this day, February 14, 1779, in Kealakekua Bay on the west coast of the Big Island. The story involves many details that I won't get in to here, but basically he had taken advantage of their kindness, and karma came back to get him. That's how it works especially on the Big Island, with all the vortex energy. Kealakekua translates to "pathway of the gods," and for Captain Cook, this was an untimely realization.
Nowadays, all you encounter when you're down there are loads of tourists and historical dinner cruises trying to get close enough to snap a photo of the monument. #captaincookmonument

Recalling my possible Bigfoot encounter which happened in 2011 while I was hiking to the Tamanowas Sanctuary Rock in Chimacum, Washington with my then partner Grace and her two teenage sons. We all heard and experienced the same event, which was quite frightening. This is the first time I have ever come forward about this, and this took place before I became a paranormal investigator and researcher.
I will never forget that day...
Special guest appearance by my friend and renowned Bigfoot researcher Ron Morehead, author of "The Quantum Bigfoot" and "Voices in the Wilderness" and producer of the "Sierra Sounds" (actual Bigfoot language) who gives his take on my personal encounter.
Check out Ron's website http://RonMorehead.com and read about his latest Bigfoot research. See him around the country at various conferences and conventions, too. He's a very active figure in cryptozoology. Thanks for your time and company, Ron!

Being a paranormal investigator has its perks. I must say, I lead an interesting and exciting life. Thanks for tuning in and being a part of it all!
Last month, I was invited to attend the History Channel's advanced screening in Seattle of their upcoming show, Project Blue Book (Premiering Jan 8, 2019 at 10PM PT/ET).
Once the producers were aware of my previous research, I was asked to be a speaker on the after-show expert panel alongside Maurene Morgan, Michael W. Hall and one other gentleman whom I can't recall his name.
Without giving anything away, I must say the first episode was absolutely amazing! Between the all-star cast, the exciting subject matter and the History-level production value, the show is guaranteed to be a big hit! Less than a month before showtime...
Here's a bit more info about the show:
HISTORY’s upcoming new drama series ‘Project Blue Book’ is based on the true, top-secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1969.
Dr. J. Allen Hynek (Aidan Gillen), a brilliant yet underappreciated college professor, is recruited by the U.S. Air Force to spearhead a clandestine operation called Project Blue Book. Along with his partner, the debonair Air Force Captain Michael Quinn (Michael Malarkey), he is summoned to investigate UFO sightings around the country and use science to discover what really happened. However, when some encounters cannot be explained away and cases remain open, Hynek begins to suspect that he has been duped by the government into a larger conspiracy to cover up the truth. Set against the backdrop of the Cold War and rising Atomic Era, each episode will draw from the actual Project Blue Book case files, blending UFO theories with authentic historical events from one of the most mysterious eras in United States history.
The show premiers on HISTORY January 8th, 2019 at 10PM PT/ET. Be sure to tune in!

This large stone is on my family's property in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains. The stone looks unnaturally rounded on the corners and smooth on the south facing side which may have been the "top" of the stone when it was once standing upright.
The corners align with NE, NW, SW and SE, which means the sides are aligned to the cardinal directions. The corners seem to be hewn or worked to some extent.
Was this stone altered at some point in the past to mark the cardinal directions N, S, E, W?
Another more thorough excavation may lead to further clues in the future, but for now it remains a mystery.

It's been a busy past couple of weeks for me as October has come and gone while the year end holiday season has officially started. Just a few weeks until Thanksgiving and just under two months to Christmas. I look forward to this time each year, especially when Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa get snow. Makes for a truly unique and wonderful setting!
Ten days before Halloween, two weeks ago to be exact, I was a guest on the Inspiring Lives with Samantha Iha-Preece radio show talking about Kahuna Research Group and the research into supernatural Hawaii the group performs, and also the book publishing division the group has in order to further tell their stories, in paperback and digital formats.
The hour long radio show aired on October 21st, 2015 on KPRP 650AM radio at 9pm around the Hawaiian Islands and streamed online via ustream.tv. An audio recording was made and shared with me days later, which has been included below in this article.
There were a couple of very minor technical difficulties at the beginning of the show due to the fact I was calling in on a cell phone, which required a few more cords to be plugged in than usual. An easy fix that the studio personnel handled like pros. It would have been nice to do an in person in studio interview, and I would have loved to fly over to the Oahu studio, but last minute inter-island flights are quite expensive...anyways, definitely next time!
A few days after appearing on the radio show I received an email from a reporter for the Huffington Post, a fairly big news agency, who was doing a piece on old spooky MacKenzie State Park, a well-known local paranormal hotspot, in time for Halloween. After speaking with the Huff Post reporter, Chris D'Angelo, and exchanging a couple more emails with him to clarify the details, the article transpired. An a nice article at that! Here's a screenshot of the Huff Post article, which was published on October 29th, 2015.
