Apparently pyramids were not limited to Egypt, Central Mexico, or China; they tend to appear in the most mysterious of places. From what I have recently uncovered, there may even be ancient man-made pyramids way out in the middle of the Pacific ocean, on a small island chain we know as Hawai'i. Ever since moving here to Hawaii in 2011, the journey into the Island history (and mystery) has been one to remember, and certain bits of information are now ready to be shared. According to the well known book, The Secrets and Mysteries of Hawaii by Pila, which is a required reading for all U.H. students, there are what may be actual pyramids on the big island of Hawaii, and the idea that Hawaii also shares a connection with the other pyramids of the world through what is known widely as the "World Grid". On page 81 of Pila's book, the author goes into mild detail about the location of these pyramids and says one is to be located five miles inland above what is known as Punaluu black sands beach, an area I am already quite familiar with, or so I thought. I figured this would be a perfect investigation for my research group, seeing as how something like a pyramid should stick out like a sore thumb. Boy, was I mistaken. Not only has this pyramid managed to evade my team after two expeditions, other unforseen obstacles have presented themselves. I figured that the best place to search for clues would be right from the "horse's mouth" - the author of the book himself. After a simple Google search, I was able to locate Pila's email and I sent him a message, half expecting to get a reply. In what seemed like one or two days, I had received an email from him, with some very startling information.

As you have just read, Pila sent "actual Egyptian pyramid researchers" in search of these pyramids, which gave me the answers I was looking for. These pyramids were real enough to some and worthy of exploring.
Hawaii's Connection with Other Pyramids Over the last couple days, I have been talking with other pyramid researchers who heard what I was doing with the Hawaiian pyramids on the Bob Charles radio show on KineticHifi.com (10/19/12 & 11/09/12). Many are intrigued by the mysteries of these islands, and the continuing mysteries of pyramids in general. The following study is from researcher Lee Ross, who sent me this image about Hawaii being a possible pyramid location, another confirmation to an ever growing mystery. We have since started a dialogue on this subject and it is open for discussion in the Facebook group "Global Pyramids Consortium". "90+180+270+360=900 ....To form the TRIDENT=[ 20+18+9+4+5+14+20 ]=90 , three lines are drawn within a circle...180x 3 =540 + 360 [degrees in a circle]= 900 ...Acupuncture points in the body might come to mind...The red line added in this photo runs to Hawaii ..We [ T-O-O-L-S.net ] believe this to be an ancient pyramid location...more reason to consider our friend Zach Royer's study." T-O-O-L-S.net As you can see from the graphic representation above, each of the white lines corresponds to an area where pyramids or megaliths have been constructed using similar methods at sites that could date back to an original motherland continent or period in history. When the trident is complete, you also get a line drawn right over Hawaii, seen in red. Hawaii is in fact very near direct opposite of Egypt, and also nearly on the same line of latitude. Is this evidence that Hawaii is an important stop in the search for human origins, just like Nazca, Egypt, Angkor Vat, and all the others? It will bring you up to speed on what many others are researching, and it offers you a chance to understand a knowledge as ancient as the pyramids.

After years of research into the pyramids of Hawaii, I have been fortunate to meet others who have told me that the pyramids here are in fact real. Here's a comment I received on an earlier version of this article about supposed pyramids on the Big Island. No portion of this may re-posted without permission and a link back to the original here. "Back in 1995 I was told a story and given two pages of a three page article, about a Pyramid, that a friend of Steve's, the gentleman telling me the story, had found inside a or near a volcano in Hawaii. The article had a list of National Geographic investigators who had, or were going to look at the site. It appeared to be from one of the local papers...unfortunately...I had that article in my possession for a long time and then it was lost....What my friend told me...which wasn't in the article, was his friend was on Prohibited Government land , he had seen the pyramid in the distance from where he was hiking, (perhaps, it is hidden by cloud or smoke much of the time,) he was on , or went on, Government land...and had to traverse very sharp lava that totally shredded his boots going there and back..I think Steve mentioned that his friend had on some really tough hiking boots on...yes..that was definitely stressed...how sharp the Lava was....The pyramid was partially buried...only what looked to be 1/3/ above an old lava flow ...it was made of stone work....as to its size I don't remember if the article mentioned it...somehow I have the impression that it wasn't incredibly large, at least what was showing....Steve said that his friend was visited shortly after he had told his story by two government men who were very intimidating and pointed out that he had been trespassing on government property and there was a sensitive instillation on the property...if I remember my impression from what Steve told me,they were very persuasive, and stressed that Steve's friend not talk about it anymore....Real Story...Real Article...Real Pyramid. "
So like any good explorer would do, I picked a date for the first Lost Pyramid Expedition, gathered a small team and proceeded to go in search of the pyramids with the information I had, which included approximate location and distance from certain features I was familiar with.
Here's a series of photos from my first expedition and the team, which included my girlfriend & fellow explorer Grace, our neighbor Mark, and another couple that was up for some adventure.
Our search that day ended with a light rain that forced us to start heading back early. Our small group was not prepared for rain or overnight camping. We decided to head back to base camp (my 4x4 parked on the side of the road) and plan an expedition for another day, when the weather was forecasted to be a little better. Being miles out in the Hawaiian jungle without shelter in the rain was something I was hoping to avoid the entire day, and for the most part, it was nice and clear. You can see the storm rolling in once we encountered a curiously shaped hillside in the photos above...which cut our first expedition short.
The second expedition happened a few weeks later, this time with some junior explorers in the group. We hiked far off into the distance where we thought the pyramids may be, but the tall grass and recent morning rain slowed our pace considerably. Regardless, we still hiked as far we could have that day, with all of us getting soaked in the process. Total fun!
In the end, we never laid eyes on any pyramid, but that doesn't mean it's not there. I plan to visit the area again soon with the right team. Plans are already in the works for another expedition and with the recent ad I placed in the classifieds of the World Explorers Magazine, I have the right team assembling in time for a 2015/2016 lost pyramid expedition.
But that's not all. The mystery extends to other islands as well. Shortly after going on the air with Bob Charles, I was given the coordinates from an anonymous source to a possible pyramid on another island, Kauai this time, with this one being in a more accessible location. Before you know I, I was on a plane to Kauai to see if I could locate the site. I did, and when I found that the pyramid-shaped structure consisted of a three-sided (tetrahedron) style of construction, with a corner pointing directly to the North, I began to get a little excited. Take a look, and notice that with the terrain software I was using I determined the approximate height to be roughly 245feet, the same height as the Pyramid of the Sun in Mexico. 
I have more photos that I am planning on releasing in one of my upcoming books, and I'm also planning a visit in late 2015 early 2016 to sites on both islands that have alleged pyramids when a few select world class researchers will be in Hawaii for the upcoming Mu Cruise that I am organizing and speaking at. An expedition is being planned as one of the shore excursions that participants of the Mu Cruise will be able to do, as we sail throughout the Hawaiian Islands on the Mountaintops of Mu Conference & Cruise. Are the pyramids evidence of an older culture that existed in the Pacific thousands of years before current estimates? Only time will tell.
One more thing. Last night (12/9/2014), I received a message from a friend that a friend of hers has some information about the pyramids in Hawaii, so right now I am following up that lead. Came at just the right time I would say.
