Being a paranormal investigator has its perks. I must say, I lead an interesting and exciting life. Thanks for tuning in and being a part of it all! Last month, I was invited to attend the History Channel's advanced screening in Seattle of their upcoming show, Project Blue Book (Premiering Jan 8, 2019 at 10PM PT/ET). Once the producers were aware of my previous research, I was asked to be a speaker on the after-show expert panel alongside Maurene Morgan, Michael W. Hall and one other gentleman whom I can't recall his name. Without giving anything away, I must say the first episode was absolutely amazing! Between the all-star cast, the exciting subject matter and the History-level production value, the show is guaranteed to be a big hit! Less than a month before showtime...
Here's a bit more info about the show: HISTORY’s upcoming new drama series ‘Project Blue Book’ is based on the true, top-secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1969. Dr. J. Allen Hynek (Aidan Gillen), a brilliant yet underappreciated college professor, is recruited by the U.S. Air Force to spearhead a clandestine operation called Project Blue Book. Along with his partner, the debonair Air Force Captain Michael Quinn (Michael Malarkey), he is summoned to investigate UFO sightings around the country and use science to discover what really happened. However, when some encounters cannot be explained away and cases remain open, Hynek begins to suspect that he has been duped by the government into a larger conspiracy to cover up the truth. Set against the backdrop of the Cold War and rising Atomic Era, each episode will draw from the actual Project Blue Book case files, blending UFO theories with authentic historical events from one of the most mysterious eras in United States history. The show premiers on HISTORY January 8th, 2019 at 10PM PT/ET. Be sure to tune in! Learn more at https://www.history.com/shows/project-blue-book

An October to Remember11/4/2015
By Zach Royer
It's been a busy past couple of weeks for me as October has come and gone while the year end holiday season has officially started. Just a few weeks until Thanksgiving and just under two months to Christmas. I look forward to this time each year, especially when Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa get snow. Makes for a truly unique and wonderful setting! Ten days before Halloween, two weeks ago to be exact, I was a guest on the Inspiring Lives with Samantha Iha-Preece radio show talking about Kahuna Research Group and the research into supernatural Hawaii the group performs, and also the book publishing division the group has in order to further tell their stories, in paperback and digital formats. The hour long radio show aired on October 21st, 2015 on KPRP 650AM radio at 9pm around the Hawaiian Islands and streamed online via ustream.tv. An audio recording was made and shared with me days later, which has been included below in this article. There were a couple of very minor technical difficulties at the beginning of the show due to the fact I was calling in on a cell phone, which required a few more cords to be plugged in than usual. An easy fix that the studio personnel handled like pros. It would have been nice to do an in person in studio interview, and I would have loved to fly over to the Oahu studio, but last minute inter-island flights are quite expensive...anyways, definitely next time!
A few days after appearing on the radio show I received an email from a reporter for the Huffington Post, a fairly big news agency, who was doing a piece on old spooky MacKenzie State Park, a well-known local paranormal hotspot, in time for Halloween. After speaking with the Huff Post reporter, Chris D'Angelo, and exchanging a couple more emails with him to clarify the details, the article transpired. An a nice article at that! Here's a screenshot of the Huff Post article, which was published on October 29th, 2015.
Aloha friends, Great news....I was asked to be a guest speaker at Kona Stories along with two other local authors on September 1st (Tuesday) for their monthly "Words & Wine" author event, talking about my best selling guidebook, the Hawaii Vortex Field Guide and how I came to be an author/researcher here in Hawaii. For me, life began when I moved to Hawaii...and I can't wait to talk about all the synchronicities that led up to this moment. Read more about the Hawaii Vortex Field Guide book here. Event is free and lasts from 6pm-9pm, includes wine and snacks. LOCATION: 78-6831 Ali'i Drive #142 Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 808-324-0350 Hope to see you there! On May 15 I was asked to attend Kealakehe Elementary's second annual Career Day, a new experience for me. I, along with my partner Grace, spent two hours talking with the kids about supernatural & paranormal research, ghost tours, book publishing and television production. The kids asked us questions about our equipment and our appearance on the Travel Channel show, "Legends of Hawaii" when we went in search of Madame Pele more than five miles underground.
