A few days ago I visited a friend at the North Hawai'i Community Hospital in Waimea on the Big Island...which is also one of the strongest vortexes on the island according to research I performed over the course of a year. A good place to have a hospital as vortexes have been known to be associated with miracle healings, angelic sightings and overall feelings of well-being. Hawai'i Vortex Field Guide author Zach Royer walking the labyrinth at the North Hawaii Community Hospital.
"This location has been known for centuries as Makahikilu, a well known meeting place of the ancient Hawaiians. According to the book The Art of Business: In The Footsteps of Giants, former CEO of the hospital Patrick Linton is said to have claimed that the hospital was situated in the center of an energy vortex formed by the five majestic volcanoes: Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Hualalai, Kohala, and Haleakala. Native Hawaiians have many sacred myths about this energy vortex, believing that it links them with the heavens." From "Hawai'i Vortex Field Guide" - © 2014 | All Rights Reserved.

(Kona, HI) - Now included with each purchase of the Hawai'i Vortex Field Guide eBook is a link to download the interactive Google Earth overlay that was recently created to go along with the book. This overlay features each vortex I explored on the Big Island and compiles them into one easy to navigate file, allowing you the chance to "visit Hawai'i" and explore these sacred sites from above and from the comfort of any computer or device with Google Earth installed. Still, there's nothing like actually coming to Hawai'i, so don't forget to do that too at some point in life! Many of the sites explored in this field guide have ancient ruins, rock circles and other man made structures still near them, including a more modern 100 foot spiral-shaped "Galaxy Garden" and community hospital. The Hawai'i Vortex Field Guide is available on Amazon for $9.99. The eBook was recently updated with a clickable Table of Contents, as well as a map with a mileage chart and hike planner to make visiting each site easier. You must have Google Earth installed on your computer for the HVFG .KMZ file to work. Google Earth is free and available here. Aloha! My new book, the Hawaii Vortex Field Guide is now available as a digital download for Kindle, Computer, iDevices, Android, and any other e-reader! It's my first self-published book, and it's just $4.99 on Amazon.com. As you visit the vortex destinations detailed in this field guide, allow yourself a chance to absorb the energies and enjoy the visual spectacles that you find there and along the way. Remember, it’s about the journey just as much as it’s about the destination. Get plenty of rest the night before you set out, drink plenty of water, and take plenty of time. It may take two days or more for you to fully assimilate the new experiences that lie ahead…they call it the Big Island for a reason! In between your adventuring, the local farmers markets in Kona or Hilo offers unique fruits & treasures that show signs of a culture steeped in mystery and lore. Each of these places offers exclusive nourishment for your body and soul. Eating the local foods is an excellent way to connect with the energies of the land (aina). Always keep in mind that Hawai’i has very rough waters on occasion, as well as steep hiking trails and sharp rocks so always be extra careful. Hundreds of visitors are rescued each year while hiking and swimming, while dozens more are less fortunate. Some areas are extremely remote and take hours to access. It is our hope that if you do set out to explore some of the sites around the island or mentioned in this book, you keep to the marked trails, always practice safety when swimming, and please don’t disturb any of the historical structures you may come across. It’s also suggested that you don’t take any lava rocks off the island as Hawaiians consider them sacred as well. So grab your hat and put on some sunscreen, it’s time to begin our tropical vortex adventure!
