Traditional Book Publisher
As your personal book publisher, I will handle all the work necessary for publishing your full color paperback/hardback novel, digital eBook, professional business/author website, full color magazine, newspaper, newsletter or audiobook for an agreed % of NET sales. Imagine having your very own industry expert right there for you for all of your publishing needs. Sit back and let me work hard for you by handling, promoting and selling your book to a wide audience and across my growing network.
Most of the new authors/professionals I've worked with went from writing music or blogs to writing books, selling products and earning great royalties. The average time from completed manuscript to print/production ranges from one to three months, depending on each project's specific size, length and/or needs.

Pricing
How much it will cost to get your book in print and determining your book's unit price depends on what services you need. Most customers have me professionally layout the interior and design the cover, but if you have the capability to do it yourself and provide print-ready files, then you can save a little money. There's a lot of fine tune work involved in the printing and publishing process. Browse the list of services below and read about the differences between self-publishing a book and using my book publisher services.
Getting Paid
I pay you. As your publisher I pay you monthly for all your sales, typically via PayPal. My publisher fee is a pre-determined % of the NET royalty payment. My fee includes all pre-production duties (editing, formatting, etc.), marketing and detailed on-demand reporting and updates. Updates made to your paperback or eBook are billed at just $49/hour.
Print Book Distribution & Publisher Services
As great as ebooks are, as an author, there is nothing like seeing the result of perhaps years of work materialize into a physical book. Holding your book in your hands is one of the greatest feelings of accomplishment any author can experience. This is just one reason "print on demand" books are as popular as they are. Besides the subjective feeling of accomplishment, printed books still account for about half of book sales, and serve many purposes that ebooks cannot such as giveaways, promotional copies, and back-of-room sales at events.
What is Print on Demand?

Just what the name implies. Your book, in paperback or hardcover (case laminate or cloth with jacket) format, black and white or in color, printed as needed. What is great about print on demand, is that you, as the author, can do short-run book printing and have 1 or more copies printed and shipped to your home, to sell or give away as needed. This is unlike going through book printers who require hundreds of books minimum. The major online retailers—Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble will sell the printed version of your book, and the major distributor, Lightning Source, will make your book available to virtually every bookstore in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, both online and brick and mortar. Or, you can simply get books printed for your own distribution. The best part—besides the low production costs, is that there are no storage fees, nor any need to invest huge sums of money into large quantities of books. Book printing via print on-demand is a very inexpensive option thanks to technology in printing books.
Amazon KDP and Lightning Source
After almost a decade of being in the business, I've discovered that to maximize both availability and sales, it is important to print books with both Amazon KDP as well as Lightning Source (LS)—both have their pros and cons but together they will help you dominate the market. LS allows for many unique sizes as well as hard cover, whereas Amazon will never show your print book as being "out of stock" if we use their print book service. Also, depending on your books specs, one of the two options can be significantly less expensive for book printing (which we refer to as "author copies").
By using both KDP and LS, we can take advantage of Amazon's direct-to-consumer marketing and receive a larger royalty while maintaining a reasonable retail price. Then with LS's bookstore-to-consumer marketing we use the industry standard 55% discount so that bookstores make a decent profit when reselling your book. The result is that you, the author/publisher, make the most money while your book has maximum distribution!

eBook Publishing Services

I work with authors and small presses to format and convert books into ebooks, and distribute them to all the major ebook retailers including Amazon, Apple, B&N, Google Play, Ingram, Kobo, Scribd, Baker and Taylor and dozens of smaller yet worthwhile retailers and library distribution outlets.
eBook Formatting
The first step in the ebook publishing process is getting your document prepared for ebook conversion. I convert your document to an editable source if necessary, remove page numbers, set margins, rethink the layout for an e-reading device, link the table of contents, and more. This is an important step that determines the overall quality of your ebook. Converting a document into an ebook requires manual editing and formatting to make it function properly and look great. Automated conversions are frequently poorly done and lead to bad reader reviews and poor sales. I will do my best to ensure that doesn't happen to your book.
eBook Conversion
The second step in the ebook publishing process is converting your file into the multiple valid ebook formats (.epub, .mobi, and .pdf) accepted by the retailers (if you already have a converted and validated .epub file ready for distribution, you pay a one-time fee of just $45 for the submission and distribution of the file). I check your converted ebook for quality. You can always use an extra set of eyes looking over your book before it is published. While I convert your book, I correct any obvious errors I see along the way. When the files are converted, I open your ebook on ebook reader simulators to ensure the converted files look professional.
eBook Distribution
The third step of the ebook publishing process is getting your book out there where readers can easily find it. Through our major online book retailer and library partners and our relationship with Ingram Digital, your ebook will be sold in the online stores that currently account for over 98% of all ebooks sold*. These partners currently include:
I can assign your book an ISBN (if it needs one): An "ISBN" is a unique identifying number for your book that is required for some retailers to keep track of sales data and book information—and a listing in Bowker's Books in Print database, which will allow all booksellers to easily find your book. There is no extra charge for these numbers.
* I can guarantee that your book(s) will be submitted to and made available to all these retailers, but it remains at the retailer's discretion which books they choose to carry. Virtually all the retailers, especially the major ones are not selective but some are.
I also offer a variety of self-publishing author services that you will find below if you choose to go the self-published route, which may or may not be the best option for you.
